Roundhouse Kick: Technical Kicking Leg Development

Quick pre-intro.

If you throw your roundhouse kick completely on the side of the body and with a full turnout, you don’t need this program.

The Side Kick:

Technical Kicking Leg Development would work for the side kick and roundhouse kick. Many people including myself do not throw a side kick and roundhouse with the same end position. For this reason, we have this program.

What are the different end position for the roundhouse kick?

In short, whether the roundhouse positio is similar to side kick depends on the pivot of the supporting leg mostly and knee action of the kicking leg.

A roundhouse kick ending up in flexed hip position draws its power from the kicking hip and torso rotation. If your extended roundhouse looks like this, you don’t need this program. Side Kick: Technical Kicking Leg Development can be used instead.
